Nine long seasons have gone without Kaizer Chiefs winning any major title in South Africa which has attracted a high turnover in the technical department.
The latest to suffer the wrath of fans was Molefi Ntseki who was dismissed after just 13 games across all competitions. Cavin Johnson failed to convince the management and supporters that he could change the fortunes at Naturena.
Reports are rife that Nasreddine Nabi will be the next tactician at the helm of the Black and Gold ahead of the new season. He had a successful campaign at Yanga SC where he won every available domestic trophy and managed to reach the Caf Confederation Cup final in the 2022/23 season.
AS FAR Rabat took him at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, but he narrowly missed the league to Raja Casablanca. He is, however, in the Throne Cup semi-final and might go all the way.
Radebe lauds Amakhosi management – Nabi would be a good acquisition
South Africa and Kaizer Chiefs legend Lucas Radebe is convinced Nab will deliver at the Glamour Boys once he is confirmed as the new coach.
“I think with a coach like Nabi – I heard that he is bringing his technical staff, it is a huge responsibility to get the club back to where it belongs,” Radebe told the media.

“In a big club like Chiefs, you need big players, you need quality to compete locally first with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, and get back to playing the Caf Champions League. “I think Nabi would be a good acquisition. Surely, we will see a change in Kaizer Chiefs next season.
“Having such a coach will bring back not just the glory but the fans as well. He will bring the belief back again and they will want to do well and want to compete because fans demand a lot. I believe that going forward they can acquire good players, put a better structure in place, and improve the team. If you look back at the glory days of Chiefs, they had quality players,” the former defender concluded.
Chiefs have not yet announced any transfer activity or any pre-season plans as they finalize on setting up the technical team.
