The Amakhosi coach has shed light on the positions he is looking to reinforce at the club
Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is still looking for players to strengthen all areas of his team as the transfer window gets into its final week.
Chiefs have already signed seven players but Nabi had expressed a desire to add a winger and a striker to his squad last month before the transfer window closes on September 20.
However, the tactician now says it is just not attack that he is looking to reinforce, but rather all areas, if the right players are found.
What is Nasreddine Nabi looking for?
“I will continue to build the defence, midfield line and attack,” Nabi, who started his Chiefs reign with a 2-1 win over Marumo Gallants, said.
“We will continue [looking] maybe until the last day. If it is necessary to sign on the last day of the window, we will continue,” he added.
Nabi has already brought in goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari (TS Galaxy), defenders Rushwin Dortley (Cape Town Spurs), Miguel Inacio (Petro de Luanda), Bradley Cross (Golden Arrows) and Bongani Sam (Orlando Pirates) as well as midfielder Njabulo Blom (St Louis City FC) and attacker Gaston Sirino.
Chiefs have been linked with high-profile players
Of the seven, four made their debut on Saturday, Ntwari, Dortley, Inacio and Cross all starting, as they came from a goal down to beat Gallants.
Chiefs have been linked with a number of strikers such as Congolese Fiston Mayele and Kenyan Michael Olunga while the club has also not hidden its interest in Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis.
