Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has spoken about whether the club is still look to make more signings ahead of the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
So far, Amakhosi have brought in six new faces: Nkanyiso Shinga, Ethan Chislett, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, Flavio Silva, and Siphesihle Ndlovu.
Adding to the squad depth, promising DDC talents such as Manqoba Ozoemena, Naledi Hlongwane, Kabelo Nkgwesa, and Thulani Mabaso have been actively training with the first team and even joined the recent pre-season camp in the Netherlands, indicating a clear pathway for academy graduates.
During a media session at Princess Magogo Stadium on Friday, held before the Toyota Cup match, Nabi confirmed that the Glamour Boys are still actively seeking to add “one or two” more players.
However, he made it clear that recruitment will be a patient process focused entirely on securing top-tier quality.

CHIEFS TO SIGN MORE PLAYERS AHEAD OF 2025/26 CAMPAIGN
“There's one or two positions that we might strengthen but we're gonna look for the best opportunity in terms of quality,” Nabi affirmed.
“We don't want to fill the position just to fill it. We will wait as long as it requires to fill one or two positions for the next season.”
The coach also emphasized the club's strategy for integrating young players without overwhelming them, referencing Shabalala's experience.
“And as well we have to give the opportunity this season to the young players that came from the DDC as well as the ones that were promoted last season because we feel that there's a big potential,” he noted.
“But we want to do it step by step because we have learnt from a player like Shabalala… That's why we want to give them responsibilities but at the same time without burning them.”
Chiefs' next step in their pre-season will be the Toyota Cup against Asante Kotoko on Saturday, July 26, at 3 PM at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
