Nabi: ‘That’s a problem with Yusuf Maart’

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has praised the recent resurgence of club captain, Yusuf Maart. The 29-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form in the past two matches.

Maart was particularly outstanding in the match against Richards Bay, where he was awarded the Man of the Match award for his impressive performance. He provided a crucial assist for Ashley Du Perez's goal.

The talented midfielder continued his good form in the subsequent match against John Maduka's side, once again setting up Du Perez for the opening goal.

Nabi attributes Maart's inconsistent performances in previous matches to the criticism he has received from supporters.

Despite the dropped points against Thwihli Thwahla, Nabi praised Maart's recent performances and his positive influence on the team.

NABI PRAISES YUSUF MAART’S IMPACT

“Yes, I think this is a problem for confidence, for himself. Yusuf sometimes receives too many attacks. It's difficult, mentally it's difficult,” said Nabi after the match.

“I think the last game, and today, it's not bad. He gave an excellent performance. Today, I think he gave a good performance.

“I want to see more confidence for himself, and he continues to progress.”
