Orlando Pirates Transfer News: Bucs set to raid Stellenbosch for star

Premier Soccer League champions Orlando Pirates are set to continue shaping up for the new campaign in their bid to successfully defend their crown.

So far, the Soweto giants have parted ways with Relebohile Mofokeng (Royale Union Saint-Gilloise), Gilberto, Karim Kimvuidi, Thabiso Lebitso (Stellenbosch), Tshegofatso Mabasa, Sipho Mbule, Bandile Shandu, Gomolemo Khoto (Sekhukhune United), Siyabonga Ndlozi (Sekhukhune United), Tshepho Mashiloane (Sekhukhune United, Loan), Thabiso Sesane (Siwelele FC), Selaelo Rasebotja (Siwelele FC), Siyabonga Ndlozi (Sekhukhune United), Gomolemo Khoto (Sekhukhune United), Sonwabo Khumalo (Midlands), Blessing Ngiba (Midlands), Seth Green (Durban City), and Melusi Buthelezi (Sekhukhune United.

Mthetheleli Mthiyane (Stellenbosch FC), Sbangani Zulu (Richards Bay), Bohale Ngwato (Siwelele) Ghampani Lungu (Siwelele), Neo Rapoo (Siwelele), Aphiwe Baliti (Siwelele) and Matome Mmolai (Leicesterford City) have been signed by the Abdeslam Ouaddou-led Bucs.

However, the team is not yet done getting talented players especially from the other PSL teams.

“Orlando Pirates are in talks with Stellenbosch FC over the signing of young goalkeeper Dublin Boon,” iDiski Times reported.

“He was understood to be included in a major swap deal which would’ve seen Boon and Faiz Abrahams join the Buccaneers and Kabelo Dlamini move the other direction – however, the deal collapsed due to Dlamini opting against the switch.

“While Abrahams has now been linked with a loan move to Durban City, this publication can confirm that Pirates are still keen on signing Boon, with personal terms already being agreed and both club trying to find an agreement on the transfer now,” they added.

His agent, Rasthoem Simons, told the aforementioned publication that, “It’s still ongoing discussions. We hope to finalise soon.”
