Orlando Pirates midfielders Goodman Mosele and Azola Tshobeni completed their medicals on Monday, paving the way for their anticipated season-long loan deals to Chippa United, according to FARPost.
The pair have already touched down in Gqeberha, ready to join the Chilli Boys for the entirety of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign.
Their impending departure from Pirates follows a period of limited game time during the previous season, a campaign in which the Soweto giants secured a second-place league finish and reached the CAF Champions League final, yet saw Mosele and Tshobeni largely on the periphery.
MOSELE & TSHOBENI TO JOIN CHIPPA AFTER STRUGGLING AT PIRATES
For Mosele, who joined Pirates from Baroka FC in 2021, cementing a regular place in the team has proven elusive. The 25-year-old midfielder previously found success on loan at Chippa United in the 2023/24 season, where he truly flourished.

He made 25 appearances across all competitions for the Chilli Boys, scoring one goal and showcasing the form that initially caught Pirates' eye.
Despite this impressive loan spell leading to his return last season, Mosele's playing opportunities were again curtailed, as he featured in just seven matches across all competitions, scoring once.
Tshobeni, who emerged from the Pirates development system in 2020, has also faced challenges in securing consistent minutes within the senior squad.
The young midfielder gained significant experience during a three-season loan stint with Motsepe Foundation Championship side JDR Stars from 2020 to 2023, where he became an integral part of their setup.
However, upon his return to Pirates, his on-field contributions remained limited. Both Mosele and Tshobeni will undoubtedly view these loan moves as vital chances to gain crucial playing experience and showcase their abilities.
