Here is the latest news making headlines around Orlando Pirates, in the last 24 hours including how Bucs legend exposed Kaizer Chiefs, latest on Tshepang Moremi injury, and more.
How Pirates legend exposed Chiefs
Football analyst Junior Khanye has praised Siwelele FC head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and backed the South African coach to succeed one day at a club like Orlando Pirates.
“The problem is that South Africa is not listening to me, Seema is a top coach, he is one of the very talented young coaches. He understands South African players and our style of play. He’s got a bright future ahead,” Khanye tells KickOff.
“He just needs to be supported; he just needs to work within a proper structure. Only if he can find himself at clubs like Orlando Pirates. In the team that beat Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday, Seema had five players from their DDC team.
“Seema took risks, and he outclassed Kaizer Chiefs in all departments. First, Siwelele they were playing with high intensity, and secondly, they were technically very good—they moved the ball better than Chiefs. They master transition football and understand running off the ball very well. Lastly, they defend and manage the game very effectively. They were far superior to Chiefs.

“I’ve been telling the country about Seema. This is the coach who managed to hold Orlando Pirates to a draw when they were at their best this year with unknown players. Seema is better than these high-profile coaches we rate so highly. Seema exposed the weak points of Kaizer Chiefs,” he concluded.
Moremi injury update
There’s growing optimism within Orlando Pirates that winger Tshepang Moremi may have avoided a serious injury setback, following his early exit in last weekend’s Soweto derby.
Moremi was forced off in the first half after appearing to roll his ankle during a tense period of the match, with the 25-year-old visibly struggling before being substituted.
According to Soccer Laduma, early indications suggest the situation may not be as severe as first feared. While the winger was seen limping after the match – sparking fears of a potential layoff – there is growing belief that the injury could be minor, offering hope that he may yet play a role in the run-in.

Moremi has been one of Pirates’ standout performers this season, featuring in an impressive 37 matches in all competitions, while contributing 11 goals and five assists.
