News making headlines around Orlando Pirates, including Bucs sign Kaizer Chiefs product, Hugo Broos asked to consider Lebone Seema & more.
Ncikazi underlines commitment at Pirates
Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has opened up on his deep sense of duty and commitment to the club, describing himself as a “servant” of the Buccaneers as they prepare for the highly anticipated Soweto derby.
“There’s one guy who said in the club that I chose to be worked and that I’m not working. There’s a difference, so I’m here as a servant. I enjoy the fact that I serve the club. 06:10am every day here for five years without fail, never being late. It excites me to see young players doing what they are doing, that way developing in front of my eyes. Us taking chances with players that have never played.
“Selepe, who played a DDC match the previous week, and he played a derby the following week. For me, seeing that transformation, it excites me. It excites me to see so many players from our team coming into this club where we had no players in the national team.

“To see a galaxy of players in all national teams being Orlando Pirates, that excites me. Like any other coach, winning the trophies… Since I arrived here, I think I have played a final every year since I have been here.
“It excites me, seeing the team doing well. It is not about me as an individual, but it is seeing the project that was placed in front of us doing well and graduating to what it is. Pirates taking its rightful position, for me that’s the excitement,” the coach said, speaking to journalists.

TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has weighed in on the Bafana Bafana selection debate, making a massive case for Orlando Pirates’ breakout star, Lebone Seema.
Since joining the Buccaneers from Galaxy, the 23-year-old has been a “rock” in a defence that has conceded just 11 goals in 25 league matches.
