In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Jele said that both clubs have outstanding players in the midfield who can decide the game for their respective teams.

“I think the team that’s going to dominate in the middle of the park is going to win the game because if you look at both teams, on one side, you’ve got Lebogang (Maboe), who played very well.

“On the other side, you’ve got Mkhahleni Makhaula, Thalente Mbatha. You’ve got Sipho Mbule, you’ve got Relebohile Mofokeng, and Tito Maswanganyi in the middle of the park.

“So, I think the middle of the park is going to be dominated by the team that wants to win more on the day because you have to work extra hard and make sure that you feed your strikers.”

Ouaddou wary of ‘fit’ Chiefs

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has expressed that they are wary of a ‘fit and improved’ Kaizer Chiefs outfit ahead of this weekend’s Soweto Derby.

“I think my first Soweto Derby experience was very good for us because we got the result we expected,” the Pirates coach was quoted as saying at a joint-press conference.

“Technical staff, the management, the players, we were really focused on the target and what we want to achieve.

“The game plan, how we wanted to attack, how we want to defend, the way that we have studied the opponent as well.

“I think everybody did their job, but now it’s another game. A different context, different conditions, and we must prepare for that. We have seen that Kaizer Chiefs have been doing well since.
