Why Pirates signed Chiefs product

Football agent Nimrod Mbhalati has explained why Orlando Pirates decided to secure the services of former Kaizer Chiefs starlet Vusisizwe Mtshali.

“We have a group of players that we train around Soweto with the aim of getting them teams, so we affiliated with the Pirates Cup, which took place during the Easter holidays,” Mbhalati told FARPost.

“We spoke to a few scouts to check on our boys, and that’s how the deal came about for him to sign with Pirates. When he joined Pirates, he didn’t have a team but was training with Nida Sports Academy after parting ways with the Kaizer Chiefs U-19 team.

“It will benefit the boy so much because look at how many players have been promoted from the reserves to the first team. Orlando Pirates believes in young stars, and he has the potential to be one of the best.

“I see Khuliso Mudau in him because he’s very comfortable on the ball, and it’s not easy to beat him in one-on-one situations. He’s a leader of note, and he was our captain during the Pirates Cup tournament. So, he’s basically one for the future.”

Maswanganyi is underrated!

Former SuperSport United attacker Masibusane Zongo argues why he feels Patrick Maswanganyi is underrated.

“Tito Maswanganyi. People they don’t understand that favourite player of mine. I believe his skill is more effective, and off the ball his runs are good and he puts an effort in his game. That’s why I rate him so much. Tito he is very intelligent,” he told KickOff.

“He is underrated in our country, but most coaches they understand what I’m saying about his quality, the many Bafana Bafana call-ups he’s been getting out of many players here in South Africa says a lot about Tito. I don’t think people should only judge him on his dribbling. We listen more to European coaches in terms of style of play.

“And nowadays days these coaches are now even starting to influence our football fans. Nowadays people can’t express their God given talent, they are forced to play like other people. In our days people couldn’t stop talking about the game after watching us play. But now people they pick and choose which games to watch.

“God gave us flair as South Africans, but we are ditching it for what God gave other nations,” Zongo concluded.
