Here is the latest news in the last 24 hours making headlines around Orlando Pirates, including Marshall Munetsi chased by another Premier League team after relegation and more.
Munetsi targeted by PL team after Wolves relegations
A former Orlando Pirates star, Marshall Munetsi, who was relegated to the English Championship, has been handed a potential way to return to the Premier League for next season.
According to Molineux News, Munetsi has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, which will reunite him with his former Wolves boss, Vitor Pereira.
French journalist Sebastien Denis reported on X that the former Buccaneer has caught the eye of Nottingham Forest.
“Author of a convincing loan spell at Paris FC, Marshall Munetsi is being eyed by Nottingham Forest,” he said.

“Wolves and Forest are close to an agreement. Munetsi wants to stay at Paris FC, but for now, no discussions have been initiated,” he added.
Pirates have the advantage, but…
Former Orlando Pirates defender Benson Mhlongo has explained how Sunday’s Soweto Derby result had a significant impact on the ongoing Betway Premiership title race.
“The derby did affect the league race big time. Pirates has given Sundowns a huge chance, even though games that are not yet played do not guarantee points,” notes Mhlongo, speaking to KickOff.
“Are the moment, the advantage is still with Pirates, even though they still rely on the opposition to stop Sundowns, which is the sad part.
“As we all know, the Soweto Derby is a different game altogether. It cancels everything. On its own, the derby carries its own pressure. So, from both teams, not many players have played in the derby, and those who’ve played more than three matches aren’t many.

“They are still new to the Soweto Derby.
“Playing the derby does affect the nerves, and Kaizer Chiefs always rise to the occasion when playing the derby because of the bragging rights.
