Bafana Bafana international Relebohile Mofokeng was on target twice as Orlando Pirates hammered Golden Arrows 5-0 on Tuesday night at the Orlando Amstel Arena.

The 21-year-old’s brace meant he has now scored five goals in the last two matches, having scored his first professional hattrick in the 6-0 victory over TS Galaxy in the initial Premier Soccer League outing.

This season, Mofokeng has played 29 games for the club across all competitions with a return of 10 goals and six assists. Nine of those goals and five assists have come in the 20 Premier Soccer League matches played.

Both strikes against Golden Arrows were excellent, as they gave the custodian no chance to prevent the ball from finding the back of the net. Mofokeng has now opened up on the latest win, and how he perfected the art of scoring beautiful goals.

Rele on Orlando Pirates’ wonder goals – ‘I have been practicing’

“A very tough game. Playing Arrows is always tough but then we managed to get goals early that’s why they opened and then we got more,” the South Africa versatile attacker stated.

“I think we have to continue scoring more because other teams come with a low block, so when we score early, it helps us because they open up.

“I’ve been practicing [scoring wonder goals] and tonight is the reward for those practices. When you want to score or try something, you must practice and it will turn out exactly how you anticipated it.

“So, one has to continue scoring and doing it many times over,” Mofokeng concluded.

The next assignment for Bucs will be on Friday 10th against Richards Bay at the uMhlathuze Stadium.
