Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa might be plying trade with the big boys next season after a massive interest from African heavyweights.
The 29-year-old was a surprise exit from the Sea Robbers in the January transfer window despite his quality. Stellenbosch signed him on a short-term loan to help sharpen the attacking department in the club’s bid to play in the MTN8 next season.

Despite scoring 50-goals for the Buccaneers, just eight shy of the team’s all-time top scorer, Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi. Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou felt Yanela Mbuthuma, Evidence Makgopa, and Boitumelo Radiopane were better.
At Stellies, the towering forward has scored five goals once again showing how effective he is in the final third.

According to FARPost, Al-Ittihad coach Rulani Mokwena is interested in having the forward in his squad ahead of the next campaign where his team is expected to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
His current deal with the Soweto giants concludes at the end of the season. Bucs haven’t shown any intention, so far, of extending his deal, explaining why the Libyan outfit might have him on a free deal.
“I think by now everyone knows that Pirates has not shown any interest in keeping Mabasa at the club, and I can tell you there is a lot of interest in the player. Rulani Mokwena’s Al-Ittihad is one of those teams that are really interested in signing him,” FARPost confirmed.
