Orlando Pirates dropped points in the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs recently which was a blow in their quest to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns for the Premier Soccer League crown.
The Soweto giants, who got their strike through Kamogelo Sebelebele to ensure it ended 1-1 at the FNB Stadium, are currently five points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played a game more.

Currently, Masandawana are on 64 points while second-placed Bucs have managed 59 from the 26 outings in the South African top-flight football. While the Brazilians are chasing their ninth title in a row, the Sea Robbers hope to end their thirst last quenched in the 2011/12 campaign.
Relebohile Mofokeng, who has been one of the shining stars, has now promised to continue fighting, alongside his teammates, to ensure the Soweto giants defy the odds and win the coveted Premier Soccer League crown.

“But, yeah, I think the gents did very well. We managed to get one goal but then they also got a goal. Yeah, I think we can go away with that point.
“The game was tough. We tried everything we could. We tried creating chances, we tried defending and we also tried everything to score because we want to win the league.
“We went all out, so I think our best is always enough. We will go ahead and continue working,” Mofokeng concluded.
On Tuesday, Bucs face Stellenbosch in a must-win game at the Athlone Stadium to remain in the race, while Sundowns will be up against Kaizer Chiefs at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
