Orlando Pirates XI vs Kaizer Chiefs: Who has started for Bucs?

Published on by

Orlando Pirates have unveiled their squad to play Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League’s Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium.

The Sea Robbers have had a good season so far, winning seven of the eight games they have played, while drawing one. This has put the defending champions second on the table with 22 points, one less than Mamelodi Sundowns who have played a game more.

Bucs will have to do without the injured Kamogelo Sebelebele, Sihle Nduli and Andre de Jong.

How have Pirates started?

Have a look at the players coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has started against the traditional rivals.

Pirates XI: Chaine, Ndaba, Seema, Sibisi, Hotto, Selepe, Mbatha, Mokobodi, Moremi, Masilela, Mbuthuma.

Subs: Dladla, Kgositsile, Padime, Zulu, Mthiyane, Lungu, Nkota, Makgopa, Appollis.

Sono makes his prediction

South Africa legend Jomo Sono insists Orlando Pirates will go all the way on Saturday afternoon.

“Pirates are going to win, obviously. Chiefs look promising now, but the thing is Pirates has been consistent,” Sono said as quoted by KickOff.

“Pirates have been introducing these youngsters properly. So, it’s a very interesting game because iKhosi have confidence after beating TS Galaxy 3-0. But in that match, until iKhosi scored the first goal, their performance was the same as Galaxy’s. They were equal.

“After losing the centre-back, Mlondi Mncwango, Galaxy lost balance, and the floodgates were opened. So, [the writing is on the wall for] this derby, Pirates are going to win,” he concluded.
