Pirates coach Ouaddou delivers optimistic message for Bucs fans

New Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has responded to his side's 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United with an optimistic message.

The Buccaneers, playing at home, were left stunned by a single second-half goal from Siphesihle Mkhize. Despite the disappointing result, Ouaddou remains steadfast in his belief in the team’s quality.

He told the media that he was satisfied with the performance of his players, highlighting that the only missing pieces were the “final pass or finish.” This strong vote of confidence from the new coach is a powerful signal to the team to maintain their self-belief.

He emphasized the need for his side to “keep on believing” in their process and their potential.

Ouaddou and his team will now need to work on their attacking precision and finishing to ensure that their dominant performances start yielding the necessary points.

ABDESLAM OUADDOU – ‘WE HAVE TO KEEP BELIEVING’

“A lot of interesting things, we have to keep believing. It’s the beginning,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“Of course we wanted to show another face, especially at home. But yeah, the team played well.

“We were very good organised, we created many chances, we played some very good football. But yeah, let’s keep believing.

“When you see the behaviour of the players during the game, the intensity they put, just didn’t score because we had the last pass… maybe lack of finishing.

“Let’s focus on the next game. I think it’s the beginning. Nothing is lost, I think we have to believe.”
