Attacking midfielder Seth Green has reportedly completed a permanent transfer from Orlando Pirates to Durban City, with both clubs reaching an agreement ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old, who previously spent a successful loan spell at Upington City in the Motsepe Foundation Championship two seasons ago, has now secured a move to a fellow Betway Premiership side as per SABC.
Green initially caught the eye with his standout performances in the DStv Diski Challenge for the Pirates reserve team, where he was recognised as one of the league’s most promising young players.

His form earned him a spot in the fan-voted Carling All-Star team and an invitation to train with the Buccaneers’ senior squad under former coach Jose Riveiro.
Despite his progress through the youth ranks, Green never made a competitive first-team appearance for the Soweto giants. In an effort to provide him with crucial senior-level experience, the club sent him out on loan to accelerate his development.
The midfielder began his career at La Masia FC before joining the Orlando Pirates reserve setup in 2024, quickly establishing himself as a key prospect.
Durban beat PSL rivals to Green’s signature

While other top-flight clubs, including Magesi FC and Polokwane City, had previously shown interest, Durban City acted decisively to secure his signature. The move offers Green a fresh start to prove himself in the top flight as Durban City embarks on a new chapter under coach Khalil Ben Youssef.
For Orlando Pirates, the transfer allows them to streamline their squad while providing a talented academy graduate with the opportunity to advance his career through consistent first-team football.
