‘Pirates will pay for Stellenbosch’s sins! Poor coaching decisions have cost Chiefs; co-coaches smoking something’

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs lost a slim 1-0 lead to fall 2-1 to Stellenbosch in a Premier Soccer League game staged at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

It was frustrating for the supporters who had seen their team lose to Stellies in both the Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup. The result leaves Amakhosi on 30 points from the 16 games played, eight less than both Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Have a look at what the fans said ahead of the Soweto derby against traditional rivals Bucs.

What a joke of a team!

Kaizer Chiefs Fans

We need to utilize Ashley Du Preeze similar to how we utilized Kingston Nkatha. He has a pace, instant speed, fighting spirit, a pass, and plays with his head up, literally all the qualities to cause a serious threat to defenders. That way, players around him can eat really well – Aey Dear

If I were part of Kaizer Chiefs management, I’d seriously consider giving Coach Dillon Shepherd the caretaker role for the Saturday derby while we search for a permanent solution.  Right now, we can barely score more than one goal a game. That’s not the standard of this badge. Things are bad, and something needs to change – Vhakhoni Major

Orlando Pirates will pay for Stellenbosch’s sins. I’m rooting for you on Saturday. Don’t disappoint me – Lindo

What a joke of a team. The frustration is real, defending set pieces, finishing chances, and that old inconsistency showing up again when it matters at home.  Gavin Hunt owns Kaizer Chiefs. The man’s winning streak against them is no joke – Modisana Roboro

Sack them, or we will take action on Saturday if they do nonsense. How do you keep Dillon Solomons and Paseka Mako in when they are a highway? How do you take out Lebohang Maboe, who has been stable in the middle? How do you take out Ethan Chislett, who was doing well? – Ta Size

Those two guys are smoking something

Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef

Ashley Du Preez’s miss was essentially a resignation letter. He doesn’t want to play for Kaizer Chiefs anymore – Tony Mango

It angers me that a player of Ethan Chislett’s quality spent more than half the season on the bench. Quality like that should be shaping games, not watching them. Poor coaching decisions have costed Chiefs games unnecessarily – Big Prince

Ethan Chislett needs proper forwards, not these roadrunners. He doesn’t kick balls forward for the sake of it; he knows what he does – Matome Kay

If you want to draw with Kaizer Chiefs, score one goal. If you want to beat Kaizer Chiefs, make sure you score 2 goals – Tar Lee

What goes through the minds of those two guys in caps when it’s time to substitute players? They’re smoking something very high, I swear – Ayanda Caroline Masombuka
