Pitso Mosimane’s agency responds to Esteghlal’s CEO criticism

Pitso Mosimane’s agency MT Sports, has responded to hateful comments from former Esteghlal CEO Hojjat Karimi against the South African tactician.

Mosimane resigned from his position at the Iranian club due to months of unpaid wages, despite his dedication to the team and his efforts to improve their performance.

Following his departure, Karimi asserted he had anticipated Mosimane's struggles and criticized the club's decision to hire a coach from South Africa as illogical.

Moira Tlhagale of MT Sports, Mosimane's agent, expressed bewilderment at the negativity and stated to iDiski Times that while they are not overly concerned with criticism, they consider the situation disrespectful to their clients.

PITSO MOSIMANE’S AGENT RESPONDS TO KARIMI

“I don’t know what the beef is there because that ex-CEO was fired,” Tlhagale told iDiski Times.

“And I believe it was because it became clear the coach was not paid, and they brought in a new [leadership] team. As for the Technical Director, we’ve never met a Technical Director, so I don’t know who that guy is.

“We are not going to be commenting on what people are saying and maybe they are protecting themselves from the supporters to make us look bad. The fact of the matter is the coach got to Iran and the team improved. The coach was committed to being there.

“There were new players that came in during the transfer open window. Why would you bring in new players and then leave?

“But the reality is you cannot just stay in a place where there are stories about your salaries. They can’t leave South Africa and go to Iran and not be paid. It is as simple as that, and for me, it is total disrespect.”
