‘We will show them who’s boss’ – Polokwane coach fires warning to Chiefs

Polokwane City may have a match this weekend but their coach is already preparing for what is next, a tie against Kaizer Chiefs.

Coach Phuti Mohafe is set for two home matches, starting with a clash with TS Galaxy on Sunday December 1, before taking on Chiefs a week later at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

What is adding spice to their match against Chiefs is the fact the Glamour Boys have made a decision to play some of their home matches in Polokwane and Mohafe is keen to show Amakhosi that his side rule the city.

“It’s two home matches. It’s against TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs, then we go to Golden Arrows,” Mohafe told iDiski Times.

“So, those matches are whoever is playing at home must get results and positive results. So, I think we should get the maximum results.

“We have double home games [against Chiefs], and we must make sure that when they come to Polokwane, we show them who’s the boss in Polokwane.”

Can Polokwane stun the Glamour Boys?

Polokwane have been impressive at home this season, winning two, drawing one and losing another of their four home ties, and in the two victories, there is a major scalp.

Rise and Shine stunned Mamelodi Sundowns last month, outplaying them to secure a 1-0 win, and are perhaps getting motivation from the result ahead of the game against Chiefs.

Chiefs take on Royal AM at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday November 30 and will stay in Polokwane ahead of the match against Mohafe’s men.
