Kaizer Chiefs had good preparations for the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.
In coach Nasreddine Nabi’s debut season, the Glamour Boys ended their decade-long trophy drought by securing the Nedbank Cup after beating traditional rivals Orlando Pirates in the final.
However, they disappointed in the PSL, where they finished ninth, just a position higher than the previous edition.
The Tunisian was hoping to continue as the club’s man man, but he was dismissed just six matches into the new campaign.

The Glamour Boys played their final competitive game on Sunday, December 7 against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium.
Having played to a goalless draw with Chippa United in the midweek outing, Amakhosi had anticipated to get maximum points away to Galaxy, but it wasn’t the case.
However, co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef felt the officials made a mistake not to allow Flavio Silva’s goal to stand, at the same time failing to awatd Amakhosi what they felt was a penalty after Khanyisa Mayo went down in the danger zone.
“We scored a goal, in my opinion a clear goal, a penalty … no penalty? So, in football what we know is if you don’t score you don’t win, if we scored a goal, we created more than 12-13 opportunities – 36 shots on target and finally we have to continue to work,” he told the media.
“I don’t want to repeat myself every time we’re unlucky, now we have this break time to correct our mistakes to continue to work. I’m so proud about the players, they did a good performance today. I’m so proud about all the players today even those coming from the bench, but that’s football,” Ben Youssef Concluded
Amakhosi finish the year fourth on the table with 24 points, four less than leaders Orlando Pirates who have one match in hand.
