The 2025/26 Premier Soccer League, (PSL), was one of the most exciting as teams gave their best to prove they were not in the top-tier to add to the numbers.

Orlando Pirates finally won the title for the first time in 14 years, bringing to an end Mamelodi Sundowns‘ dominance. Masandawana had won the previous eight editions and were aiming at making it nine in a row, but Bucs stopped them. However, they went all the way to winning the CAF Champions League.

The Sea Robbers were the most successful team in domestic competitions as they also won the MTN8 and Carling Knockout in Abdeslam Ouaddou’s first season with the Soweto giants.

Newbies Durban City defied odds to win the Nedbank Cup which gave them CAF Confederation Cup’s ticket alongside Kaizer Chiefs who finished third on the Premier Soccer League table.

As usual, the best are awarded at the end of the season, and here are the nominees across all disciplines.
