Puso Dithejane: Chiefs product signed abroad amid Sundowns & Amakhosi links

Kaizer Chiefs product Puso Dithejane who has been heavily linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns and Amakhosi has played his last game for TS Galaxy, according to reports in Mzansi.

The 21-year-old has been in a good form for the Rockets this season, where he contributed to four goals and six assists across all competions in just 15 outings before the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) break.

Dithejane’s exploits saw him make Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana preliminary squad for the biennial competition, but he didn’t make the final one.

What Galaxy said about Dithejane joining Sundowns or the Glamour Boys

The Rockets owner Tim Sukazi has responded to claims the defending champions made an offer.

“It’s true, we received an offer from Sundowns but we respectfully rejected it because it didn’t meet our valuation for the player,” he told UKhozi FM.

Sukazi then responded to Chiefs’ link, “There’s no Chiefs offer for Dithejane at the moment, I don’t want the Chiefs fans to raise hopes thinking there’s an offer,” he continued.

“What happened is that on Sunday afternoon, I was with Dithejane. He showed me missed calls. One was from Kaizer Jr, Tera Maliwa and coach Vela Khumalo. There was even a player from Chiefs who phoned. These missed calls are coming straight to the player, not me. If they want to put an offer, we will talk with them.

“It’s surprising because football life is really something else. You must remember how Dithejane left Kaizer Chiefs, where they told him to be a ball boy when he wanted to play,” he concluded.

Reports in England now claim the talented creative attacker is set to join Mbekezeli Mbokazi’s Chicago Fire in the Major League Soccer.

“We can confirm that TS Galaxy’s Puso Dithejane will be joining Mbekezeli Mbokazi at MLS side Chicago Fire, congratulations, Puso,” SoccerBeat reported.

This will be a massive chance for the youngster to prove he has what it takes to deliver at the highest level.
