Kaizer Chiefs transfer boost? TS Galaxy reject PSL giants’ bid for Puso Dithejane

Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly suffered a setback in their bid to steal TS Galaxy winger Puso Dithejane under the noses of Kaizer Chiefs.

Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi revealed at the weekend that officials from Chiefs have been contacting the highly-rated winger with a view to signing him but latest reports indicate that Sundowns have submitted an offer which has been rejected by the Rockets.

According to SABC, Sundowns put their money where their mouth is by tabling a bid to Galaxy for the 21-year-old forward but Sukazi has turned it down for two reasons.

The first is that he did not view it to be sufficient enough to meet the player’s valuation while the second is that the club do not want to sell their prized asset on the cheap when they cannot sign a replacement due to their ongoing transfer ban.

Who will win the race for Dithejane?

Dithejane is wanted by both Sundowns and Chiefs and Galaxy’s refusal to sell to the Brazilians might be a boost for the Glamour Boys, but also a warning as they now know it will not be easy to price the player away from his current club.

Dithejane, who came through the ranks at Chiefs, has had a good season at Galaxy, where he has four goals and six assists in 15 matches this term, and it seems like he will be a subject of a transfer tussle.

Sundowns were looking to add the winger to their list of January signings, having already brought in defender Khulumani Ndamane from Galaxy, Colombian striker Brayan Leon and winger Monnapule Saleng so far.
