In the last couple of years, Orlando Pirates have tried a few players in the vital No. 10 role.
In the current squad, Kabelo Dlamini, Patrick Maswanganyi, Sipho Mbule and Relebohile Mofokeng are some of the players who have been tried in that role. New signing Andre de Jong has also played that free role with Stellenbosch, but the stiff competition in the team has seen him play on different roles.

Before the losses against Mamelodi Sundowns and Casric Stars, coach Abdeslam Ouaddou played the 21-year-old South Africa international in the No. 10 position. In three games in a row, Mofokeng won the Man of the Match Awards for his performances.
He scored three goals for the Sea Robbers and created two assists for his teammates.
Mofokeng made for the No. 10 role?
It was a massive contribution from the versatile attacker who has now scored four goals and managed five assists in the process. Orlando Pirates legend Oupa Manyisa believes Mofokeng is best-suited to play in that position as opposed to being featured on the wide areas.
“Honestly, he is doing great. You can see that he is scoring goals. But as an attacking player, you have to be able to play in three to four different positions,” he told FARPost.

“This is because there are injuries and suspensions. So, whenever the coach needs you to play in a certain position, you have to go there and deliver,” he concluded.
This season, Bucs have won the MTN8 and Carling Knockout but fell short in the Nedbank Cup where Casric Stars eliminated them in the Round of 16. Pirates now hope to deliver the Premier Soccer League amid stiff competition from defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and traditional rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
