Orlando Pirates winger Relebohile Mofokeng has reacted to his side’s 1-1 draw with Cyprus champions Pafos on Sunday.

Mofokeng was on target as Pirates came from behind to secure the draw after their opponents had taken an early lead.

Joao Correia scored past Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine after six minutes before Mofokeng showed excellent footwork, skipping past his marker inside the box before calmly placing a left-footed finish into the far corner in the 25th minute.

What has Rele promised Pirates fans?

Following the draw, which comes two days after their 2-0 loss to English side Bolton Wanderers on Friday, Mofokeng has made a big promise to Pirates fans.

“I feel very happy, I think there is more, there is more to improve,” Mofokeng said in a clip posted on X by SuperSport presenter Thomas Mlambo.

His team-mate defender Thapelo Xoki picked positives from the match while expressing optimism that they will start winning soon.

“It was tough today, the guys played well. The combinations, the improvement was there from the previous game. We take it to the next one now and hopefully, we get more improvements. We need to start winning now,” said Xoki.

Pirates’ still have two more matches to play during their pre-season tour of Spain with Spanish sides Las Palmas and Granada yet to come on July 17 and 19 respectively.

Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is using the pre-season matches to test all his players as well as a number of combinations ahead of the new PSL season that will kick off on August 8.
