‘Rest Mofokeng, he’s giving Pirates nothing! Goal should be moved for Hotto but we don’t need Saleng’

Orlando Pirates registered their first win on Wednesday night after beating Stellenbosch by a solitary goal at the Orlando Stadium.

Kamogelo Sebelebele scored the only goal in the first half to ensure Abdeslam Ouaddou-led Buccaneers claimed maximum points. It was a massive result ahead of the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final scheduled for Saturday.

These are the reactions from the fans as sampled by Afrik-Foot.

‘Dlamini playing Rubbish?'

We need to rest Relebohile Mofokeng, the boy is offering Orlando Pirates us nothing –  Clemment

Alright, the game is over now, but what I can say is that against Sundowns, Kamogelo Sebelebele needs to play as a right winger so that we can put them under pressure from the first minute till the game ends.  With Deano van Rooyen injured, I don’t know who’ll play as a right-back because we need to shut the back door – Ntsonda

Deon Hotto played well tonight, hardly putting a foot wrong. His passes, dribbles, skills, and shots were all on point. Unfortunately for shots, the goalposts were wrongly positioned, but besides that, he should have had a handful of goals to take home. MOTM performance – Aey Dear

Kabelo Dlamini can see the way the new signings are playing, and yet he gets a chance, then he decides to play rubbish –  Malinga

Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou must trust Thalente Mbatha more; with him in the mid playing with Sihle Nduli we are stronger –  Sandilemboma

‘Pirates are horrible in the final third'

Next assignment, let's defend our title, and please bench Deon Hotto for a few matches – Thabo Tsheke

Deon Hotto is a hard worker, no doubt. I just wish he could get more training on taking proper shots on target. Otherwise, well done to the boy – Original Buccaneer

Dlamini should play with the MDC boys. Mofokeng's form is a bit of a concern. We all have seen what he can do, and he is nowhere near that so far this season – Uncle Fumar

We won, but I am with the coach today, he is not happy, and it makes sense that our players are horrible in the final third. Decision-making is so bad, we should have had three easy goals. We can’t win the CAF Champions League or the league when we flop in front of goals time and time again – Tebogo

We can now sell Monnapule Saleng. We no longer need him. We have Sebelebele. We are tired of always being told that our team is killing Saleng's career and that we have to defend you every day –  Tall Azz Jay
