Rulani Mokwena has reportedly turned down a chance to coach one of the PSL sides having received an approach.

Mokwena is without a job after leaving Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in May and has been linked to a number of teams, including Orlando Pirates, who opted for Abdeslam Ouaddou.

CAF Champions League winners Pyramids have also held talks with the 38-year-old as well as Egyptian giants Zamalek, the latter which he turned down after learning that his mentor Pitso Mosimane was also shortlisted.

Now, according to FARPost, Mokwena has been contacted by Siwelele FC to become their coach but he has reportedly turned them down as he is keen on a club that competes in the CAF Champions League.

Which other club is keen on Rulani Mokwena?

Siwelele FC are the entity that acquired the premiership status of SuperSport United, with the club now looking to install its own men in key positions as it begins the transition ahead of the 2025-26 season that will kick off on August 8.

Mokwena has also been contacted by Algerian club MC Alger who are looking for a new coach after the departure of Khaled Ben Yahia with Golden Arrows boss Manqoba Mngqithi also reportedly having been sounded out.

It is not known if Mokwena would be keen to return to North Africa after his stint with Wydad did not go as well as he would have wished but he confirmed in an interview in June that he will have a new club by the start of next season.

MC Alger would provide him with Champions League football and also put him on a collision course with one of his nemesis Sead Ramovic who handles CR Belouizdad.
