Recently, Rulani Mokwena and Algerian outfit MC Alger parted ways on mutual consent.

The tactician led the team for just eight months following his exit from Botola Pro outfit Wydad Athletic Club. It was a shocking move for the 38-year-old, who had an arguably good run with the People’s Club, especially in the league.

Mokwena has been linked to Libyan heavy-spenders Al-Ittihad as well as the Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs. Have a look at the reactions by the fans as sampled by Afrik-Foot.

I thought he was joining Chiefs, which means they are happy with the translators –  Mondli Makhunga

These Libyan teams mean business, especially Al-Ittihad. Soon, we are going to see more and more high-profile players and coaches in African football going to Libya – Thando Makaula 

He should have finished the season in Algeria. I know he might be leaving for a higher salary, but winning the league would boost his CV. Finish the season and look for another project – Ike Ndlovu 

It seems like there’s a new Saudi Money on that Libyan team. There’s a new Motsepe in Libya – Xolani Mrayo Mbk 

Rulani Mokwena will end up signing Thembinkosi Lorch to stay with him after retirement – Tumelo Ledwaba
