Secret leaked! Ex-Chiefs coach opens up to Durban how to frustrate Amakhosi

Durban City are set to host Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League fixture to be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday.

The Citizens are on 15 points and victory against the Glamour Boys will take their tally to 18, the same as the fourth-placed Soweto giants. Interestingly, the league's new boys haven't lost a domestic game at home this season.

Amakhosi are struggling, having gone six games across all competitions without tasting victory. Five of those are in PSL.

Ahead of the highly anticipated match, Terrence Mashego, who is on loan at the club from Mamelodi Sundowns, has revealed what their coach, Gavin Hunt, told them ahead of the assignment.

You have to make sure Amakhosi don't score

“Definitely, we want to make sure that they don’t score because the coach has been emphasising that we have been conceding too many goals,” he told the media.

“We just need to make sure that we keep a clean sheet because if we do that, we stand a good chance of winning the game. If you play Chiefs in front of that crowd and you make sure that they don’t score in the first half, chances are that they might be frustrated and come in numbers.

“If they come in numbers, there will be spaces and we stand a good chance to score,” the 29-year-old Mashego concluded.

Another Premier Soccer League game scheduled for Friday will be between second-placed Sekhukhune United, who will be up against Siwelele away. A win for the former will take them top of the table pending the result between leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
