Shocking! Top Pirates star unveiled by Sundowns

In a quick turn of events, Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Monnapule Saleng!

The 27-year-old fell out with Orlando Pirates which led to his exit to Orbit College FC albeit on loan, at the beginning of the season. The Sea Robbers’ faithful had hoped to see the winger back at the club at the end of the ongoing campaign.

While with the Mswenko Boys, Saleng played 12 Premier Soccer League matches and made one appearance in the Carling Knockout as his team was undone in the initial phase. He managed to score two goals and provide three assists des[ite laying with average players.

Saleng secures a big move!

The South Africa international has now been unveiled by the defending PSL champions Masandawana.

“Ready to light up! Masandawana, meet our latest arrival, Monnapule Saleng. Pace, power, and pure ambition as he joins the Home of the Champions,” the Brazilians posted on Friday evening.

During his time with Pirates, Saleng has won three MTN8 crowns, and two Nedbank Cups before his exit to the South African top-flight newbies.

He is expected to help Miguel Cardoso’s Masandawana to push for the Premier Soccer League after the initial struggles that have seen them trail leaders Pirates by two points despite playing 13 games, as opposed to Bucs who have played 12 but managed to collect 28 points.

Masandawana are also chasing the CAF Champions League crown.
