Siya Ngezana reveals what Hugo Broos told him

FCSB defender Siyabonga Ngezana has revealed “clear” Bafana Bafana objectives that Hugo Broos discussed with him.

Returning to the national team in June, Ngezana has quickly established himself as a regular fixture in the Bafana Bafana squad.

Often partnering with Kaizer Chiefs' Rushwin Dortley, Ngezana has also shared the field with Mamelodi Sundowns duo Mothobi Mvala and Grant Kekana.

Upon his return, Ngezana revealed that coach Hugo Broos has set his sights on qualifying for both the 2025 AFCON and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With qualification for the 2025 AFCON already secured, South Africa is now focused on the next challenge.

NGEZANA ON WHAT BROOS TOLD HIM ABOUT WHAT BAFANA WANT TO ACHIEVE

“Yeah, I had some few conversations with him. I know what he wants. He’s an honest person, he’s an honest person,” Ngezana told iDiski Times.

“And then obviously, there are some objectives as a national team, to achieve. And we know all the goals, as players, and for me to go there, there’s a reason why he called me, and then we spoke about it, that there’s a goal as a team, we want to achieve this goal.

“Now we achieved, to play AFCON, and then now the next thing is to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. And those were clear goals for us as players to achieve. And I think we’re pulling in the right direction as players.

“And for me, Hugo Broos has done a lot of good things for our nation so far. So I’m happy for him as a coach also, to have him, to have the opportunity to be coached by him.”
