‘Sundowns beat Chiefs & Pirates in their difficulties! Doc is biased; Masandawana killed our talent’

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo recently stated that the fall of Mamelodi Sundowns will negatively impact Bafana Bafana.

He further stated Orlando Pirates and Amakhosi should not celebrate the internal wrangles Masandawana are facing. The former midfielder insists the country needs a competitive Sundowns as opposed to the current one.

However, Bucs and Amakhosi faithful are seemingly not amused by Khumalo’s sentiments. Have a look at their response as compiled by Afrik-Foot.

What problems is he talking about?

Mamelodi Sundowns celebrate

Doctor Khumalo can’t lie; he can’t pretend. Football is Sundowns. In fact, all teams should join Sundowns –  Kings Makhalima

He’s just showing sportsmanship on media, as we all know, Doctor is just protecting himself in the world of sports, as he should – Bongani Mtshamba

Can someone clarify for me the problems he is talking about, which are different from those of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates? – Zwelodumo Flatela

Wow! It is my first time listening to a ‘truthful and honest analysis’ from Doc Khumalo. What a surprise! – Teboho Kaloli

However, Sundowns won matches against Chiefs while in our difficulties, and the same with Pirates; they were beaten while in their difficulties – Nick Khoza

Doc is sometimes biased

I’m also a Chiefs fan; Doc might be right, but Sundowns also contributed to killing some of our talent by buying every player they didn’t need. They allowed Flemming Berg to manage Sundowns; they lost it there for us – Mzwabantu Ndlovu

Sundowns’ problems are not ours, Doc. Chiefs had problems for 10 years, and they were not Sundowns and Pirates problems. Hence, their fans were mocking us for our trophy drought – Sello Malatsi

It’s his own business, that’s why Chiefs will never give him a job; he is sometimes biased – Mukololo Masia Mphaphuli

Well spoken; we want a ruthless Sundowns, not a dog that barks but doesn’t bite – Sboniso Khumalo

I salute you, Doctor Khumalo; it shows you care for South African football, that’s why you’re still looking good because of the good heart you have. Your sportsmanship is at a higher level than others who already know the results of Zamalek before they play – James Botsime
