Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns are set to lose an experienced player in the ongoing transfer window.
Recently, there were speculations that Lucas Ribeiro is on his way out of Masandawana, with Pyramids and Fluminense heavily linked with the 26-year-old. However, the South American cooled the nerves of Sundowns faithful when he reported back to camp ahead of Sunday's MTN8 game against Richards Bay.

Nevertheless, the Miguel Cardoso-led team might have to do the job without the services of Namibia international Peter Shalulile. The forward is seen as surplus to requirements by the Portuguese tactician, who has been using him sparingly since his appointment as the Brazilians' head coach.
Shalulile: Is the striker done with Sundowns?
“ES Tunis are progressing towards an agreement with Sundowns regarding the transfer of the 31-year-old Namibian forward who left Sundowns’ training camp this [Saturday] morning in anticipation of his move to Tunisia,” iDiski Times reported.
“Shalulile could become the second player from South African shores to join Esperance this season, following Elias Mokwana, who completed his transfer from Sekhukhune United at the beginning of the 2024/25 season,” they added.

The Brave Warriors captain has won six titles with Masandawana since 2020, when he joined from Highlands Park. In the 290 matches played for both clubs, Shalulile has found the back of the net 130 times.
However, Shalulile might not play alongside Bafana Bafana international Mokwana in Tunisia, with reports having it that the winger might be sold before the new season begins. If Shalulile completes the move, it will be a massive relief owing to his struggles for game time at Sundowns.
