Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango has penned a message to Amakhosi faithful after hoisting Nedbank Cup.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys downed Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last week.

The centre-back didn’t feature due to injury, having also missed a couple of matches before the final.

Taking to Instagram, he celebrated being part of the Kaizer Chiefs squad that brought an end to their 10-year trophy drought.

‘I CAME TO HELP BRING BACK THE GLORY’

“After more than 10 years, Kaizer Chiefs are champions again and I am beyond honoured to be part of the team that brought the Nedbank Cup home,” Msimango wrote on social media.

“From the moment I arrived, I carried a fire in my heart, a mission. I came here to help bring the glory back, and today, I can proudly say we’ve taken a massive step toward that.

“This group of players…….Bafowethu.We’ve been through so much together this season and the last, but our bond, our fight, and our belief never broke. When we stand united, nothing can break us. And if we stay this way…together…we’ll only grow stronger from here.”

Msimango thanks the fans for backing him through thick and thin since he arrived at the club two seasons ago from TS Galaxy.

’YOU’VE STOOD BY ME’

“To you, the Amakhosi faithful….This moment isn’t just about lifting a trophy….it’s about resilience, purpose, and pride,” Msimango added.

“Through the highs and lows, you…The fans, the ones who’ve stood by me, never gave up on me. Your love carried me. Your belief fueled me. And for that, I’m forever grateful.

“As my season comes to a close, I know this is not the end. It’s only the beginning of what’s to come. I’ll be back stronger, wiser, and ready for everything the next chapter holds. From the depths of my heart, thank you. This one is for you.”
