‘Unfortunately Benin will beat weak Nigeria for World Cup slot! SA’s Bafana are cursed’

South Africa are set to play Rwanda in Group C's World Cup qualifier to be played on Tuesday at Mbombela Stadium.

This will be a massive game for Bafana Bafana but only a win can't be enough to see them through. They must hope that Nigeria beat leaders Benin in another pool game to be played in West Africa.

Hugo Broos' team was sanctioned for fielding suspended Teboho Mokoena in March against Lesotho. Otherwise they were clear favourites to top their zone.

Ghana praying for South Africa to qualify

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will help Bafana Bafana to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, mark my words – Mhlekazi Hìs Isenako Nxula

Good luck, Bafana Bafana. I don't care whether my Kaizer Chiefs boys are not selected, I will support my country. I'm tired of supporting Brazil and Germany; other countries have already qualified, and we're busy fighting among ourselves – Kasi Lami

Nigeria might grant the needed favor and beat Benin, but it is not make sure about this Bafana Bafana against Rwanda – Kamva Bonakele

Praying for South Africa to win and qualify because South Africa have a good team. Ghana are behind you – Adu Kwadjo

As South Africans, one prayer we offer, Nigeria to win, and Bafana Bafana to win – Xolani Nzuzo Sadat Ntshangase

Benin will beat Nigeria and qualify!

A must-win encounter. We might as well go for the playoffs if Nigeria lose because they're so weak – Mlandeli Ka Dibala

I swear it’s like Bafana Bafana are cursed, imagine important players injured in crucial moments, then we still get a point deduction – Skhulule Mhlana

Please tell the coach to tell the boys to score in the second half, because if we score many goals first half, Nigeria will sell the game to Benin, and we won't qualify – Stele Sabza Gabela

If Hugo Broos has the same mentality he had against Zimbabwe, doing nonsense, waiting 80 minutes, surely he saw what was happening in the field, thinking it would work out. If that mentality is there, it would be a definite loss – Thembela Mquqo

Unfortunately, Benin will beat Nigeria and qualify for the World Cup, clean – Phila Gumbi
