Kaizer Chiefs‘ management and technical team worked hard to get players who can help them deliver in the 2025/26 season.
The Glamour Boys are hoping to make a statement both domestically and abroad where they are competing in the CAF Confederation Cup. Locally, they are out of the Carling Knockout meaning they have the Nedbank Cup and the Premier Soccer League to chase.
Afrik-Foot focuses on Amakhosi’s journey in the transfer window; players who have been signed, released, or rumoured to be on their way to Naturena, as well as recent changes in the club.
Morris set for a new challenge
Striker Tashreeq Morris is set to re-unite with coach Gavin Hunt at Stellenbosh FC in the January transfer window, according to FARPost.
The duo worked together at SuperSport United before the towering striker joined Amakhosi in the mid 2024/25 season to help Ranga Chivaviro who was struggling to score.
Morris has since played 11 matches for the Soweto giants, across all competitions, without finding the back of the net. His last and only appearance so far, this season, was in the Carling Knockout first round against Stelies, which went to the penalty shootout and the 31-year-old was among those who missed.
The signing of Flavio Silva, Khanyisa Mayo and Etioda Ighodaro means the situation is even tougher for the towering striker.

“In terms of Brandon (Petersen), we are in discussions with them,” he said as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
“They have an option (clause) anyway on the existing contract. So it’s finishing on 30th June 2026, but they have an option for a year. But we are speaking about a new contract for him anyway,” Binkin concluded.
