‘We have a good plan for Chiefs’: Chippa coach ahead of Amakhosi Nedbank clash

Chippa United coach Thabo September has challenged his players to demonstrate their capabilities in their Nedbank Cup Round of 16 match against Kaizer Chiefs.

The two sides are going to face off on Saturday, 15 February at the FNB Stadium at 6 PM.

September says they want to capitalise on all the goal-scoring opportunities they will create in the match.

He stated that they have a good plan to come out victorious over the Soweto giants.

SEPTEMBER ON UPCOMING CLASH AGAINST CHIEFS

“It's a cup game so it's a once-off game, so we need to approach it with the right mentality and make sure that we play well, and give our all in that 90 minutes,” said September as quoted by SABC Sport.

“We need to make sure we capitalise on the opportunities that we create, and be stubborn and also selfish in terms of conceding goals.

“So we have a good plan on what we need to do, and playing against a big team like Kaizer Chiefs is a great opportunity for these players to showcase their talent.”

He continued: “The team looks good, except Sergio [Kammies] who is suspended, but the rest of the team looks good, so we've got a good pool that we can select from against Chiefs,” he added.

“So I think we just need to go out there and show the good talents that we have, express ourselves well and, besides the tactics, we need to come out of our shells and just play our football.

“We need to make sure we do the things that we need to do right, and that the players are playing to their strengths.”
