Bafana Bafana legend Teko Modise believes some coaches and opposition supporters in South Africa are just irritated by Mamelodi Sundowns' dominance.
The Brazilians have won eight of the last nine Premier Soccer League crowns, and are on the verge of making it eight in a row in the ongoing edition if Orlando Pirates don't stop them. They are currently enjoying a 15-point advantage over the Soweto giants having won 17 games from the 19 played in the ongoing campaign.
Judging from their current form, it is highly unlikely that Masandawana will drop more points in the ongoing campaign.
Modise now believes the bitterness aimed at his former team happens because of frustration, that no team is capable of challenging Sundowns for the Premier Soccer League title.
‘I know the amount of disrespect Sundowns get'

“We work in the media space, you read articles, you read other coaches’ comments about the club,” the 42-year-old former Bafana Bafana star told The Pitchside Podcast.
“For me it’s not a big thing, but I just know the amount of disrespect Mamelodi Sundowns gets. And it’s not that people don’t like the team, they are just tired. It’s from an irritation point of view.”
Meanwhile, Sundowns coach Cardoso is convinced a majority of his players can deliver in Europe, “Yes, most of the players here can play in the Europa League. I believe most of them can play in Europe. They can play for Celta Vigo as you have said. I believe that the quality is high. The good thing is that the ambition is high also. And that takes you to the next level always. So the energy that we are pushing ourselves is high.
“So it's hard at times because they have to live with that all the time,” he opened up to the media ahead of the league game against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
