Orlando Pirates defender Thapelo Xoki has voiced his appreciation for the club's supporters following his return from a lengthy injury layoff.
The 29-year-old endured a frustrating period on the sidelines, missing the end of last season, pre-season, and the first round of the current campaign due to a knee injury sustained last season.
He underwent surgery and spent over six months in recovery.
Xoki made his comeback in a Betway Premiership match against Marumo Gallants, playing for seven minutes.
Subsequently, due to an injury to Thabiso Sesane, he has reclaimed a starting position in the team.
Xoki expressed his gratitude to the Pirates fans for their unwavering support and for remembering him during his time away from the field.
He also encouraged them to continue supporting his teammates who are still recovering from injuries.

XOKI ON PIRATES’ FANS ROLE WHEN HE WAS OUT INJURED
“I want to say a big kudos to them (supporters) and a big thank you to Amabhakaniya,” said Xoki as per KickOff
“It means a lot to us players to get that type of support because it pushes you through in tough times.
“When you are injured, you stay on the sidelines for a long time. You kind of feel left out but with that type of reception and that type of support that they give us, it makes us give our best when we get the chance to play.
“I hope they continue to do so, we have some guys who are still out injured who need that the same type of supporter.
“I was happy when I saw that they gave the same type of love to Bandile Shandu who has been out for a year and for him to come back and still feel appreciated, it means a lot to the players.”
