Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze could be set for a permanent return to AC Milan following the expiration of his loan spell at Fulham, Afrik-Foot reports.

​Chukwueze joined Fulham from AC Milan on a season-long loan last summer after two disappointing campaigns in Serie A.

He was forced to exit the Italian club after manager Massimiliano Allegri deemed him surplus to requirements.

​The move to West London proved to be a decent piece of business, with Chukwueze contributing three goals and four assists in 23 appearances for the Cottagers.

But while he looked incredibly sharp in the first half of the campaign, consistently delivering goals and assists, his form cooled down in the second half, leading to a significant reduction in playing time.

​With his loan deal at Fulham coming to an end, it remains uncertain whether he will sign a permanent contract with the English side or return to his parent club in Milan. However, a major development at the San Siro could heavily influence his decision.
