Born in Jos, Nigeria, Moses Simon started learning the ropes at GBS Academy, where he refined his skills and displayed exceptional talent. In the summer of 2013, Dutch giants Ajax secured his signature, beating off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

His time with the Dutch giants was short-lived, as Ajax opted not to sign him after pre-season. Following this decision, discussions began with their partner club, AS Trenčín in Slovakia, where he eventually continued his development.

His impressive performances earned him a move to Belgian side Gent, where he won the Belgian league title and the Super Cup in 2015 and registered 21 goals and 18 assists in 136 appearances.

After a brief stint with Levante in Spain, he joined Nantes in 2019 and has since been a key player, helping the club win the Coupe de France in 2022.

Simon made five appearances for Nigeria's U-20 team before earning his first senior call-up in 2015 from interim Super Eagles coach Daniel Amokachi.

He made his senior debut in March 2015 during a friendly against Uganda and scored his first international goal in November of the same year in a 2-0 win over Niger. Since then, he has amassed 72 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring nine goals.

Simon’s strengths include his explosive pace, dribbling, and versatility, as he can play on either flank or centrally. However, his final product—crossing, decision-making, and goal-scoring consistency—remains an area for improvement.
