Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has moved to shut down speculation surrounding a potential summer move away from Sevilla, Afrik Foot reports.
The Nigerian forward has emerged as a transfer target for French giants Marseille, with Spanish outlet Fichajes suggesting the Ligue 1 side are keen to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Adams joined Sevilla from Montpellier during the January transfer window last year, but after a difficult start to life in La Liga, the striker scored ten goals this season.
That return has fueled suggestions that the Spanish side could be willing to listen to offers for the 26-year-old.

However, the Nigerian forward has now addressed the rumours directly, insisting that he remains committed to Sevilla despite growing interest from elsewhere in Europe.
What Akor Adams said about his future
Speaking in an interview with Footy-Africa, Adams distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Marseille and stressed that his immediate focus remains on Sevilla and his international duties with Nigeria.
“I have not heard anything about that, but this is the transfer window and there will always be many rumours,” Adams said.
“It is not important to me at the moment. I have a contract with Sevilla, and we have just come through a difficult season, so now is not really the time to focus on such things.”

The striker also reiterated his happiness in Spain despite the uncertainty surrounding Sevilla’s squad rebuild this summer.
“It all depends on what happens, but I am happy at Sevilla. Rumours are part of football, but it is not something I am thinking about right now,” the former Sogndal forward concluded.
Adams is currently with the Super Eagles camp ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly game against Portugal and appears determined to put transfer talk to one side.
The comments come amid reports that Marseille are preparing an offer worth around €18 million for the striker. Sevilla, meanwhile, are believed to value the Nigerian closer to €25 million and are not actively seeking a sale.
With a contract running until 2029, the Andalusian club remain in a strong position regarding any negotiations.
Should Sevilla sell Akor Adams?
Sevilla could be tempted if a substantial offer arrives. Adams endured a frustrating first six months at the club after joining from Montpellier in January 2025, failing to register a goal or assist during his debut half-season in Spain.
His 10 goals in the Spanish top flight last season, alongside his brilliant AFCON 2025 campaign, have increased his market value.
Given Sevilla’s financial challenges in recent years, receiving an offer close to their €25 million valuation could provide valuable funds to strengthen other areas of the squad.
There is also the possibility that Marseille’s interest could allow Sevilla to make a quick profit on a player whose market value remains high despite his initial difficult adaptation period.

At 26, he is entering the prime years of his career and still has ample time to produce better numbers than he did last season.
For now, both player and club appear aligned. Adams has publicly declared his commitment to Sevilla, while the Spanish outfit are under no pressure to sell.
Unless Marseille return with a significantly improved offer, Sevilla may be better served by allowing the Nigerian striker to prove himself as the main man at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
