The Super Eagles of Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw in the clash against Jordan at the Mardan Antalyaspor Stadium in Turkiye, Afrik Foot reports.
Eric Chelle’s men already defeated Iran with a 2-1 scoreline last Friday, and a draw today gifted Costa Rica a silverware that would’ve done the esteem of the Franco-Malian tactician a world of good.
Bruno Onyemaechi, Semi Ajayi and Maduka Okoye were absent, all for various reasons.

Nigeria vs Jordan: How the game played out
Eric Chelle’s men dominated early proceedings, while Jordan looked to stray forward on the counter-attack, as predicted.
However, it was Jamal Sellami’s side who took the lead inside 17 minutes. Noor Al-Rawabdeh’s short free-kick was played into Mousa Tamari’s path, and the Stade Rennes forward shot the ball beyond Francis Uzoho, who could’ve done better in parrying the attempt.

However, Jordan’s lead didn’t last long. After Raphael Onyedika’s attempt was ruled out for offside, Moses Simon came up trumps again.

Ademola Lookman beat two men, but his shot ricocheted into Simon’s path, and the Paris FC attacker sent a half-volley into the bottom corner to draw Nigeria level.

The Super Eagles continued to dazzle at the start of the second half, but the cutting edge was lacking.
Samuel Chukwueze, Wilfred Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi all came on in the second half, but it appeared Francis Uzoho pulled his hamstring and was replaced by Enosis Paralimni goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye.
The 25-year-old was called into action shortly after, and he responded by tipping a long-range chip over the bar.

Jordan drew level in the 77th minute. A slip from Zaidu Sanusi allowed Noor Al-Rawabdeh to play in a brilliant outside foot pass into Mohammad Al Aldahod, who slipped the ball under Adeleye.

Alex Iwobi lost his cool after his jersey was pulled by Amer Jamous. The Fulham midfielder hit Jamous’ face, and tensions boiled over as the technical staff of both teams rushed onto the pitch to sort the scuffle.

After a few minutes, Turkish referee Atilla Karaoglan sent Iwobi off, before blowing the final whistle two minutes later.
Nigeria’s March International break ends with a win against Iran and a draw against Jordan, but a positive could be that Eric Chelle’s unbeaten run continues.
