Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna could be on the verge of a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of the summer transfer window, Afrik-Foot reports.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Swedish club AIK, after he joined just last year and has recorded nine goal contributions across all competitions this season.
His impressive performances have attracted the attention of several of Europe’s top clubs, with scouts regularly monitoring his progress and it now appears only a matter of time before he leaves AIK.

Bundesliga heavyweights RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Dortmund had shown interest as far back as April, while Rennes, Real Madrid, and most recently Brighton & Hove Albion have also joined the list of suitors in recent weeks.
Brighton on the verge of Zadok Yohanna deal
Zadok Yohanna’s future has been uncertain in recent weeks due to the level of interest he has attracted from major European clubs, raising questions over whether he will remain at AIK beyond the summer.
As per reports from Florian Plettenberg on X, Brighton have already reached a verbal agreement with the player and are now in negotiations with AIK over a transfer fee.

Afrik-Foot understands that the Premier League club have stepped up their efforts to secure Yohanna’s signature and are pushing strongly ahead of rival clubs.
However, the Swedish side are understood to value the Nigerian youngster at around €30 million. If the deal is agreed at that price, Yohanna would become the most expensive departure in the history of Swedish football.
RB Leipzig also remain firmly in the race and continue to monitor the situation closely, although they are yet to submit an official bid. The German club value Yohanna at around €20 million, which falls below AIK’s asking price.
Several other interested clubs remain in the race and could make late moves to seal the signing of the 18-year-old. However, Brighton are currently frontrunners for his signature, and a deal could possibly be finalized within the next 24–48 hours, which could see Yohanna become the sixth Nigerian player to join the Premier League club.

Yohanna last featured for AIK on May 10 in a 4-2 defeat to Djurgarden before suffering a minor injury, which ruled him out of their last three league matches as well as Nigeria’s Unity Cup campaign after he was handed a maiden call-up by Eric Chelle.
At this stage, it appears he may have already played his final game for the Swedish side, with a summer move now looking increasingly likely.
