Super Falcons and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has spoken about the ambition of the Nigerian Football team leading up to the WAFCON 2026 tournament, Afrik Foot reports.
The 25-year-old was instrumental in Nigeria’s WAFCON X triumph last time out on Moroccan soil, keeping four clean sheets as Justin Madugu’s side became African Champions for a record tenth time.
With another tournament on the horizon, the three-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year has revealed her teammates are keen on taking each step as it comes, and are in no rush to be ahead of themselves.

Super Falcons: Chiamaka Nnadozie talks up WAFCON preparations
The Nigerian Women’s football team have been engaged in a two-legged friendly game against Cameroon as they prepare for the showdown.
Nnadozie, now one of the senior players in the team, revealed how the team plan to take the next step after achieving continental success just last year.
“We’ve been communicating, and it’s just something we want to take one step at a time. We don’t want to think about the semi-finals or the quarter,” the former Paris FC goalkeeper said in an interview with AY Sugar.

“The mission is to qualify for the World Cup. I believe in the girls. I know every team wants to beat Nigeria because we’ve been the best in Africa for a very long time.
“All the teams have grown, the competition has become tougher, so we’ll take it one game at a time.
“Personally, I’m not aiming at any trophy. Let’s get the World Cup and whatever happens, happens,” Nnadozie concluded.
