Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze finds himself in a precarious position at AC Milan, with his future at the club hanging in the balance, Afrik-Foot reports.
Chukwueze recently returned to the Rossoneri following a season-long loan stint at Fulham. While the London club had the opportunity to sign him permanently by exercising a €26 million purchase option, they declined to do so.
Consequently, his status for the upcoming season remains unclear. Following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as head coach this summer, it is uncertain whether the Nigerian winger will feature in the new manager’s plans.

In the meantime, interest from other clubs is mounting. Most notably, Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor recently saw a €15 million bid for the winger rejected.
Although Chukwueze has two years remaining on his contract, AC Milan remain firm in their valuation: they will only entertain offers that meet their €26 million asking price.
Fiorentina and Bologna Join the Race
As speculation surrounding his future intensifies, additional clubs are monitoring the situation.

According to CalcioMercato, Serie A sides Bologna and Fiorentina are both considering moves for Chukwueze this summer.
Both clubs are looking to bolster their squads ahead of the new campaign, and the Super Eagles star is viewed as a potentially valuable addition.
But even though the Rossoneri are open to negotiations, it remains to be seen whether Bologna or Fiorentina can meet the financial requirements to finalize a transfer.
Analysis: Should Chukwueze Leave AC Milan?

When Samuel Chukwueze first burst onto the scene at Villarreal, he was widely touted as one of football’s most exciting prospects.
With his blistering pace, technical dribbling, and vision, he seemed destined to become a mainstay at Europe’s elite clubs.
However, those lofty expectations have largely gone unfulfilled. Now 27, Chukwueze has struggled with consistency throughout much of his career.
When AC Milan signed him three years ago, the club saw him as someone who could be a key player and raise their levels.
Unfortunately, his performances over the past two seasons have suggested he may not be the type of player a top-tier club can build around.

Given that new coach Ruben Amorim is unlikely to hand him a starting role, an exit seems the most logical path forward.
A move to a club like Bologna or Fiorentina would likely take away the immense pressure of playing for a European giant, granting him the consistent playing time necessary to rediscover his form.
Staying in Milan risks leaving Chukwueze glued to the bench, a scenario that would jeopardize his standing within the Super Eagles squad. A transfer, on the other hand, would allow him to stay competitive and remain in the mix for Super Eagles selection.
