• Date: Friday, October 9, 2026
• Venue: Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria

The Lineups Are Out

This is coach Augustine Eguavoen’s first game in charge of the Super Falcons. Recall that his predecessor Justin Madugu was sacked after a poor WAFCON outing. Now that Eguavoen is in charge, albeit as an interim, he will be looking to start on a strong note.

The former Super Eagles boss has named a strong lineup for this fixture, with some of the regular suspects like Chiamaka Nnadozie, Toni Payne, Christy Ucheibe, Jennifer Echegini, Michelle Alozie and skipper Rasheedat Ajibade starting.

Comoros are massive underdogs in this fixture, so Nigeria will likely take the game to them and dominate the entire encounter. However, Eguavoen and the ladies will have to be careful to not leave spaces at the back.
