Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has explained his game model for the Nigeria senior national team.
The Malian, who took charge in January, has been in charge for four matches since, winning two and drawing two, and recently claimed his first piece of silverware in the form the invitational Unity Cup.
However, with sterner tests to come, especially in World Cup qualifying, the 47-year-old has revealed his vision and emphasised the work that still needs to be done if the three-time African champions are to achieve their goals.

What is Eric Chelle’s philosophy for the Super Eagles?
Speaking to journalist Austin Okon-Akpan on his ‘Proudly Austin’ YouTube channel, Chelle set forth his strategic manifesto, against the backdrop of the just concluded Unity Cup.
“The reality is we created something new about the game project, about the identity of the team.
“For me I want that, if someone watches a game of the Nigeria team, he says, ‘When they don't have the ball, they make a high pressure, and when they have the ball, they try to make fast attacks.. or if it's not possible, they try to keep the ball.'

“If you watch our last four games, you can see that. I'm happy about that, but the reality is we need to work. We have some weaknesses in defence, so we need to work physically to do high pressures for 60 or 70 minutes. We keep working.”
The Super Eagles will, on Friday, take on Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
