Two-cap Super Eagles midfielder Ibrahim Olawoyin scored his first goal of the season for Turkish side Çaykur Rizespor, as they came from behind to defeat Trabzonspor 3-1 in the Turkish Super League.

Olawoyin was in imperious form throughout the game, and his efforts were rewarded with Rizespor's third goal, rounding off the scoring and securing victory for his team.

Edin Visca gave Trabzonspor the lead in the 23rd minute, stunning the hosts with a goal against the run of play.

Rizespor thought they had equalized when Dal Varesanovic found the net, but VAR intervened, ruling the goal offside.

However, just before half-time, Rizespor levelled the score with a well-taken volley from Bosnian midfielder Amir Hadžiahmetović.

Nigerian forward David Akintola then put Rizespor ahead for the first time in the 72nd minute, as the home side took control of the game.

Eight minutes later, Olawoyin capped his fine performance with his first goal of the season and Rizespor’s third of the match, sealing a 3-1 victory for his side.

He was substituted with one minute left of regulation time.

The 26-year-old played 89 minutes against Trabzonspor, scoring one goal in an entertaining match.

He made 67 touches from a midfield position, including two key passes.

Olawoyin completed 35 of his 43 pass attempts, achieving an 81 percent success rate.

He attempted three long balls and succeeded twice. In aerial duels, he won four of six attempts, and in ground duels, he won nine out of 12.

In dribbling, he completed both attempts, helping his team secure all three points.
